Smart breeds of dog?
When I was younger I had A golden Retriever named Misty, and she was so well trained, and so intuitive to people’s moods that it was like she was a person. Now I’m ready for my own dog..but unfortunately I am forced to live in an apartment the rest of my life…so i need a more compact companion. I was thinking a beagle or a bulldog mix…Also, is it possible to rescue a dog and have it live a non agressive life?

These are all very smart and easily trainable. They do need a lot of excercise, so daily, long walks are a must! And yes, rescued dogs can live an aggressive-free life, just as any other dog. I have 4 dogs – all rescues and all angels. That would be your best bet, too. Mixed breeds are much healthier than purebred dogs, and can be highly intelligent.
